What is Akela’s Council?
Akela’s Council is an exciting, motivating, and enjoyable 3-1/2 day or 2 weekend
Cub Scout Leader training course for those who have completed the Cub Scout Leader Basic Training. Learn to make pack meetings sparkle and den meetings dazzle.
Akela’s Council has consistently been the most popular and most effective advanced leader training for Cub Scouting in the Utah National Parks Council for more than a quarter of a century. Leaders who attend Akela’s Council return home with current information, renewed enthusiasm and hands-on experience that inspires and enables them to make improvements to their local packs and districts. There is no better place to connect with and learn from other dedicated Cub Scout leaders that exemplify the values of Scouting.
Join us for an intense and inspiring training experience that covers THE NEW CUB SCOUT PROGRAM, den doodles and den yells, communication and relationships, Cub Scout forms and resources, Journey To Excellence, skits and puppets, charter renewal, BSA policies, insignia, Cub Scouts with disabilities, costuming, pack meetings, the new Cub Scout Adventure program and much more.
