I went to Ac 24. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything! It will make all the difference in how you feel about Cubscouting, and your desire to "DO YOUR BEST".

Akela's Council was a great training for me. After I went I thought I needed to go again just so I could retain more of the knowledge that was sent my way. Then I was blessed to be on staff for the next two years. Now I am the Cub Scout Roundtable Commissioner. I am really using what I learned! I would encourage anyone that is involved in Cub Scouting to attend Akela's Council.

Akela's was the best cub scout experience I have had after seven years of training, fun times, etc. To my surprise it was also one of the best personal experiences I have had with many opportunities to grow and improve myself.

Some people have wondered WHY I love scouting so much. Let me tell you... Akela's Council was a life changing event for me. Four and a half days learning how the program really works. Every Cub Scout Leader should attend this leadership training. The staff is AMAZING, the course is FUN, the campground is BEAUTIFUL, and it's a Kid free week!!

Attending Akela's Council over 20 years ago was the best Cub Scout training decision I ever made. I was a new Den Leader and the skills I learned there gave me a solid, strong foundation for what Cub Scouting can do for a boy. Just "go," you will not regret it!!!

Akela's Council is a fantastic experience. It brings out the importance of being a well trained cub leader in the participants. It is a very well put together program and will rekindle the flame within you. Please come this summer so we have a better opportunity to change the lives of our boys.

I went to Akela's council last yr. thinking I doubt I'll learn much for my position because at the time I was only doing Round Table Staff. Boy was I surprised. I couldn't believe how much I learned that I could use in Round Table and then later on I became a Webelos leader again and I have so much new stuff to use on those boys and they are loving it. So yes it is worth it no matter what position you hold you will come away with so much more knowledge.

I had been involved in Cub Scouts an accumulated 12 years out of 18 years when I went to Akela's Council. I came home with tools, skills, ideas, and people-resources that help me provide an even better quality program that impacts the boys' lives more fully. I have more confidence as a leader in general. To top it all off .... Akela's Council is fun!

I was a brand new leader and didn't know much about Cub Scouts. I attended Akela's Council with my husband and it changed my life. I learned so much, I understood how this amazing program can help the boys we work with, I caught the Cub Scout spirit, I learned about the resources available to me, I made great friends from all over the state, and I have been working with boys & their leaders for 13 years because of it. I love Cub Scouts!

Akela's Council is the best way to become an effective cub scout leader. You not only learn how to be a great leader but you get lots of ideas and it't FUN!!!
